The Voices From the 3rd Floor Team is proud to announce that our second contest for spring has come to a close and a winner has been selected!
The winning piece is – drumroll, please -…
After Some Time by Angie Jiminez
As mentioned previously in the email which was sent to all FAU English majors, the winner of this contest will have their story posted as a feature post for a week in addition to receiving a Starbucks gift card and their work published in the University Press.
We’d also like to congratulate our honorable mentions. We received a good number of submissions for this contest for which we extend our thanks to the FAU English undergraduate student body! All of the stories and poems were each pretty great, so picking one winner was, of course, a challenge. We will therefore be sharing the rest of our submitted pieces with VF3F readers over the course of the next months to showcase the talents of FAU writers!
- El Nicho by Ronald DeLeon
- Second Chances by David Ades
- There is Still Hope by Sidney Mesa
- Mythology by Elad Mirman
- Untitled 1, 2, & 3 by Sebastian Bedoya
Once again, congrats to our winner! And stay on the lookout for new and exciting events in the near future!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful spring. Have fun, and, as always…
